Christ Zomaya Accepting The BSI
Certificate
ISO
9001 is the most comprehensive of the ISO 9000
Standard series for companies which design and
manufacture products. The ISO 9000 Standard is
recognized throughout the world as the leading
quality management standard. The standard focuses
on company processes rather than products. More
than 100 countries have adopted the ISO 9000
Standard as a national standard. Many large and
small manufacturers and service companies
throughout the U.S. and the EEC now use ISO 9000
certification to benchmark their choice of
suppliers. According to Mr. Paul Brooks, of The
British Standards Institution, nearly 17,500 U.S.
companies are currently registered and nearly
130,000 are in the EEC.
The
results of a 1996 Irwin Professional Publishing,
Dun & Bradstreet survey of 1,880 ISO 9000
registered companies, showed that the most
important external benefits of registration were:
higher perceived quality in the marketplace,
improved customer satisfaction, a competitive
edge, a reduction in customer quality audits, and
increased market share. The most important
internal benefits were reported to be: greater
quality awareness, a positive
"cultural" change, and increased
operational efficiency/production.
GOLDENRAMs
President, Christ Zomaya, says that
"Certification by BSI provides unequivocal,
objective evidence that GOLDENRAM is committed to
being simply the best in every aspect of its
business from engineering to the manufacturing of
consistently high quality, fully reliable memory
products."
Having a strong
quality management system, detailing precise
manufacturing processes, has become more
important than ever. This is due to the
increasing complexity of computer memory module
designs. Advancements in CPU architectures have
for a long time outpaced memory. However, new
DRAM technologies have emerged to fill the
bandwidth gap between microprocessors and DRAMs.
The new DRAMs offer enhanced configurations and
have added to the list of available choices. Fast
Page Mode (FPM) DRAM and Extended Data-Out (EDO)
DRAM are no longer the dominant technologies.
Synchronous DRAM (SDRAM) has taken over as the
evolutionary leader with Double-Data (DDR) DRAM,
Rambus DRAM and Synclink set to follow.
GOLDENRAM
manufactures a broad range of enhancements for
every major brand computer and laser printer on
the market. All GOLDENRAM memory product designs
are based on international industry standards
established by JEDEC, the Solid State Products
Engineering Council, of which GOLDENRAM is an
active participating member. GOLDENRAM is capable
of engineering and manufacturing to exact
customer specifications, an almost unlimited
variety of products. The product line includes:
proprietary memory, industry standard SIMMs,
DIMMs, SO DIMMs, compact and PCMCIA flash,
miniature cards, L2 cache, VRAM, SGRAM and WVRAM
upgrade products.
